How do Nexus Lights communicate with the control apps?
Nexus Lights connect to the control apps via Bluetooth. They communicate with each other using a mesh network, meaning the signal is passed between fixtures to and from the Master device. Because of this mesh setup, there is no minimum distance required between fixtures and the Master device — you only need to keep your device close to the Master device.
The communication protocol powering this system is called iQ.Mesh.
